Here at Bondi & Katoomba Counselling we have specialist practitioners to help people identify and overcome the problems that stop them from realising their full potential. All practitioners work with individuals across many life circumstances and conditions. However, each one has a particular specialty to offer you their expertise and training as follows:
- COUPLES, WOMAN AND TRAUMA – Our specialist practitioner is Juliette Ferrier (Psychotherapist, Mindfulness, Mind-Body Therapy, Couples using Gottman Therapy)
- CHILDREN, MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES – Our specialist practitioner is Catherine Kippist (Social Worker, Sandplay Practitioner)
Kellie Miles is our specialist practitioner in the Blue Mountains, Katoomba, she works with all of the above using Sandplay Therapy, Transpersonal Art Therapy and Counselling.
Juliette is a counsellor and psychotherapist who works with couples and individuals. She has significant experience working with clients who are struggling with complex problems. Juliette has travelled from being a lawyer to a theatre director and has found her home in counselling. Having had both successful and unsuccessful experiences with counselling in her own personal journey, she is deeply committed to supporting clients to achieve real progress in their therapy and uses a diverse range of techniques to fit each couple or individual’s needs.
Juliette holds a Graduate Diploma of Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Jansen Newman Institute. As well as talking therapies, Juliette is trained in mind-body techniques including Focusing, Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDR. Working with couples she also uses Gottman Couple Therapy. She is a Member of the Australian Counselling Association. Juliette also holds a BA (Syd Uni) and Dip.Law (LPAB)

ABOUT CATHERINE KIPPIST
Catherine’s intuitive, warm, caring and non judgmental approach creates a safe and supportive space in which to work through issues. She uses Sandplay Therapy and Holistic Counselling to help people identify and overcome the problems that are stopping them from realising their true potential. She has a special interest in women’s health and wellbeing and in working with children and young people to develop resilience and self esteem.
Catherine has many years experience working in the field of mental health. She combines her skills and knowledge of traditional health and mental health practices with a holistic and energetic framework which considers physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological aspects of each individual. In this way, Catherine is able to provide an alternative, unique and effective approach to treating mental health issues and promoting mental wellness and resilience. She does this by teaching skills which will help clients to better manage their mental wellbeing, as well as using holistic counselling to facilitate healing on a deep level.
Catherine holds a bachelor of Social Work from the University of New South Wales and is a registered member with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She also holds a Master Practitioner of Sandplay Therapy from Sandplay Australia. She is currently studying a Diploma of Yoga Studies and is interested in the benefits of yoga for mental health and wellbeing.
ABOUT KELLIE MILES
Kellie combines her training as a Transpersonal Art Therapist and Sandplay Practitioner working with those that feel blocked or stuck, unable to move forward in their life in ways that feel truthful and meaningful. Her deep understanding of Defense Mechanisms, the psyche and how individuals can block their own ability to grow and overcome their issues, means she is very successful with supporting her clients to make positive and permanent change.
Kellie is the Director of Soulspace, a Holistic Counselling & Wellbeing centre near Bondi, Sydney and sees clients in Katoomba, the Blue Mountains. Kellie holds a Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapy from the College of Complimentary Medicine, where she is also a lecturer. Kellie also has a Diploma in Shamanism and Transformational Mask, a BA in Communications from University of Canberra and a Masters in ‘Active Sandplay Therapy’ from Sandplay Australia and the Crucible Centre. She currently works with adults, couples and children from her home practice in Katoomba.
